On Tuesday, November 6, Pennsylvanians will elect a governor, 203 state representatives, and 25 (of 50 total) state senators.
On Saturday, November 17th, Pennsylvanians will come together at eight historic regional advocacy summits to kick off a statewide movement to demand that Harrisburg lawmakers do their jobs and end Pennsylvania’s school funding crisis.
Will you join parents, grandparents, teachers, community members, and school officials from your region in standing up for full funding for your community’s public school students?

At the advocacy summit you will:
- Network with local and statewide change makers leading the fight for school funding.
- Develop a toolkit to build support and spur action for funding for your community’s public schools.
While the state has taken steps to increase school funding in recent years, Pennsylvania’s state share of funding for public schools still remains among the lowest in the nation.
Over the past two weeks I have traveled to Susquehanna, Butler, and Franklin Counties to talk with parents, grandparents, teachers, and community members about their local public schools. In each location the story was the same. School districts are depending increasingly on local taxpayers to pick up the slack because the state isn’t contributing its fair share to our schools and districts continue to struggle to offer students the opportunities they need to succeed in school today and in life after graduation.
Now is your chance to be part of a movement that will build power in every corner of the commonwealth to demand full state funding for public education so students receive the educational opportunities they need and deserve.
