We are delighted to announce our Education Voters Public Education Champion program opportunity for 2023-2024.

This program was created for parents and community members who are interested in learning about school funding and policies that will support children and communities and are ready to step up and be vocal and engaged.

Have no clue how school funding works? That’s okay – we will walk you through it.

Don’t have public speaking experience? That’s okay – if you are willing to learn!

We are looking for individuals who will…

1) Think creatively about how to identify people in a community to engage in school funding issues and turn those ideas into action.

2) Be a passionate advocate for supporting public schools and identify others who feel the same way.

3) Be outspoken and action-oriented about the need to improve policy and support for children.

4) Make plans to lift up the voices of families and community members who believe in public schools!

The program has two roles or options for involvement:

Click HERE for information about becoming a Public Education Champion-Advocate, a volunteer who will be part of the PEC network.

Click HERE for information about becoming a Public Education Champion-Fellow, who commit to doing 20 hours/month of work and receive a stipend for their time.

We will be hosting an info session on May 25th at 7:00pm about the program and answering questions-please click here to register.

If you are interested in applying, please fill out this application form here. Applications are due on Thursday, June 8th. We will be conducting interviews in June and making selections by the beginning of July.  The program will begin in September.

You are welcome to complete an application now or wait until after the information session. Also, if you know someone who might be interested, please share the form with them!
