We are busily planning the PA Schools Work advocacy day, which will be on Wednesday, May 8th in Harrisburg.

As we have stated, this is an education budget worth fighting for.  We need to make sure that state lawmakers understand that their constituents expect them to:

  • Support Governor Shapiro’s full proposal for public education funding in 2024-2025,
  • Codify a concrete timeline for Constitutional compliance, and
  • Reject private school vouchers.

On May 8th together with our PA Schools Work partners we will have a rally on the Capitol steps at noon. Advocates will also be meeting with their state lawmakers throughout the day.

If you know you can come and you’d like help setting up a meeting with your state senator and/or representative, please click HERE to fill out this form. We are hoping to be able to start scheduling legislative meetings becasue lawmakers’ schedules get booked quickly.

If you cannot commit yet, no worries! There is plenty of time for you to plan and sign up later.

Below are photos from our previous advocacy events.

It is powerful to come together with people who care about public education from all corners of PA  from rural, urban, and suburban districts; rich and poor districts; and large and small districts coming together to speak with one voice in support of ensuring all of our students get the quality public education they need, deserve, and are entitled to under PA’s constitution.
