Tell state lawmakers to support a reasonable revenue package in the budget

There is finally real movement on the budget in Harrisburg and it is time for us to act.

On Wednesday, October 7,  members of the PA House will make a choice when they vote on a revenue package for the budget this year. Lawmakers will either vote for new revenue (a tax on Marcellus Shale gas drillers and a small PIT increase) that will provide THE investment needed to fund schools and FOR THE OVERALL BUDGET to be honestly balanced. Or –  they will vote for NO additional state revenues, which means PA will face a budget deficit of more than $2.2 billion next year and have no way to restore school programs.

This is an all hands on deck moment–please contact your state representative now and share this action with your friends and neighbors. If we want strong schools in PA, we need our state lawmakers to represent regular people and to vote for a responsible revenue package.
