It has been a tremendous year for Ed Voters—and I could not be more thankful.
With this year’s state budget, we won a historic increase in education funding, including the Level Up approach that accelerates funding to districts that need it most.
We saw the conclusion of the school funding lawsuit where parents, educators, lawyers, and countless other advocates made the case for fairness in school funding.
And for these incredible milestones, I am deeply grateful to our supporters above all—including you.
But we can’t take anything for granted.
Come January, there will be a new governor. We need to redouble our efforts to make sure public education doesn’t fall through the cracks. We can’t let the funding issue become “old news” or let any of our hard-won gains backslide.
We need to hold the line against extremists calling for book bans and other campaigns of hate in our schools by lifting up and empowering the voice of the community.
And while we await the decision of the lawsuit, we need to be ready to move quickly. There will be more hard work needed in order to secure our progress, no matter what the final outcome is.
Make no mistake—there’s a lot on the line. But you can help.
This #GivingTuesday, stand up for PA students by supporting EdVoters in our work to ensure every child statewide has access to an equitable, quality public education.
We’ve seen this year what our scrappy, passionate organization can do—and how much small contributions truly add up. So we ask: can you chip in today?
With gratitude,
Susan, Sandra and Katja
